Great New Stuff!]]>Wed, 08 Jan 2020 22:56:18 GMThttp://www.cimoniquegreen.net/cimoniques-pen/new-decade-great-new-stuffIt's hard to believe we've reached yet another decade. I'd love to start a new book project soon... Maybe over the summer when things boil down I'll be struck by my next inanimate characters simply writhing to be brought to life! For now, I'm super-excited to launch CIMOTION -- my personal fitness brand. I've been teaching barre, kickboxing, cardio, HIIT and fusion classes for nearly three years, and I absolutely LOVE it! Many, many clients have become dear friends, and it's been my pleasure to walk/talk/hike/sweat/scream together. Also, I entered breast cancer survivorship for a second time last year, so this new decade holds even more expectancy. The Lord has been so good to me; most tangibly through the warm and loving arms of others. I just want to boomerang all that goodness right back to the wonderful people I'm surrounded with, and those I have yet to meet!

Have an incredible year... and remember to STAY LOVED!!!

XOXO cimo

<![CDATA[Well, Hello!]]>Mon, 02 Jul 2018 01:06:33 GMThttp://www.cimoniquegreen.net/cimoniques-pen/well-helloI haven't posted in soooo long! I wish I were engrossed in a new project, but I've temporarily shelved my burgeoning literary baby. I got certified in barre fitness last year and have been busy teaching my wonderful clients at the studio ever since (approximately 11 classes a week). And most wonderfully, I had a miraculous, phenomenal family reunion in Indianapolis three weeks ago... (Perhaps that whole story will make its way into one of my books one day:)

<![CDATA[BEIGE...]]>Fri, 27 May 2016 18:28:06 GMThttp://www.cimoniquegreen.net/cimoniques-pen/beige
Yesterday was a spectacular day... It was my dear mom's birthday, and in the middle of our celebration copies of my newest novel BEIGE appeared on my doorstep :) Mom started crying when she saw the book... An endearing tribute to my late grandfather whom she and I loved to the heart.

<![CDATA[Newest novel hitting the shelves!!!]]>Thu, 05 May 2016 20:10:15 GMThttp://www.cimoniquegreen.net/cimoniques-pen/newest-novel-hitting-the-shelvesI tell you... this year has been a surprise. A WONDERFUL surprise! Aside from some harsh unknowns and trying days, I didn't plan on writing another novel in the foreseeable future, but this story just stirred in my belly. The release of BEIGE, my historical fiction tale, is fast-approaching. Copies will be available from Barnes & Noble and other retailers July 1st, and there just may be an early release in late-June :) I so look forward to chewing on the novel with readers after the tale circulates. It's been a fun, challenging, head-banging journey from pen to printed ink -- but the reward is far worth it!

<![CDATA[Wrapping up 2015...]]>Sat, 26 Dec 2015 17:08:22 GMThttp://www.cimoniquegreen.net/cimoniques-pen/wrapping-up-2015A lot of swirling turns characterized this year. New projects, new job, new move ... and now, the day after a beautiful Christmas, I'm excitedly awaiting the turn of the new year. I don't yet know what creative genesis will meet me in 2016, but it's time for an opportunistic change. What does that mean, exactly? That I believe in my heart, in my spirit, there is more for my hands to do that I have yet to know or imagine. As the Lord Jesus plants my steps and sets my faith to flight, this newness will fulfill something in His heavenly purpose that is moments from discovery.

And that makes me smile :)

<![CDATA[The horizon of Book Three]]>Mon, 03 Aug 2015 23:59:47 GMThttp://www.cimoniquegreen.net/cimoniques-pen/the-horizon-of-book-threeI was updating the Story Excerpts page of my website and posted one of my favorite passages from Desperate Hope Arise. This story lies deep within my heart for a number of reasons that have even more meaning since I first wrote it. I still have Book Three of Sarai's tale to finish... I've taken an emotional break from completing the trilogy for almost two years, but I can feel a resurgence drawing near. We'll see what the coming months bring as God leads my heart and directs my life...

Love truly is as strong as death <><

<![CDATA[A busy year...]]>Mon, 22 Jun 2015 02:22:42 GMThttp://www.cimoniquegreen.net/cimoniques-pen/a-busy-yearWow... Can't believe I haven't had time to post in 2015 yet! It's been a bit of a whirlwind, but God has been faithful in keeping me ... just keeping me all the way around! I've written a few short stories, but otherwise have been busy with an outside job and editing a project for a fellow author. We'll see what kind of excitement the coming months are about to bring :)

<![CDATA[Novella chosen for grief resource]]>Sat, 06 Dec 2014 05:03:16 GMThttp://www.cimoniquegreen.net/cimoniques-pen/novella-chosen-for-grief-resourceI was graciously surprised to be notified by Legacy Connect -- a phenomenal grief support website -- that they've chosen my novella, Wherever You Are as a fiction resource for navigating through the grief process after loss. Among their other great coping tools, including a strong community of supporters and diverse literary choices for dealing with death, Wherever You Are is now featured on their site as an offering to those who may benefit. As a writer, this is a tremendous blessing to me -- to see God's healing flow to those whom my work touches.

<![CDATA[A kooky fat raccoon!]]>Sat, 22 Nov 2014 19:54:03 GMThttp://www.cimoniquegreen.net/cimoniques-pen/a-kooky-fat-raccoonWith my love for children's books, I just published a surprise project for kids. The Secret Sunglasses and the Fat Raccoon is a sweet little tale, filled with imaginative adventure for rambunctious boys. I actually wrote the story as a gift to a sweet family, and decided to turn it into a book :)

<![CDATA["Keeping It Weird" anthology]]>Sat, 22 Nov 2014 01:08:58 GMThttp://www.cimoniquegreen.net/cimoniques-pen/keeping-it-weird-anthologyWith all the excitement about my novels, I forgot to post about my short story, 113, being published in a new anthology last month. My young adult short fiction tale was featured in Keeping It Weird - Poems & Stories of Portland, Oregon, among many other talented, strange, and memorable writers' prose. Although I wasn't able to attend, I heard the release party in Portland was a blast last weekend. I look forward to submitting more work to the Poetry Box in the future and hopefully being able to make the next authors' event.
